Version 0.0.1 update (bugs, balance)


A more updated version of the game has been uncovered. Forgive us for finding such a primitive version, this was the only publicly available version released by the original developer.

From what we can tell, the only differences from the previous version seem to be fixing some bugs and re-balancing a few cards, among a few other small changes. Nothing major.


General Changes:

  • Fixed a problem where the title screen would display "RealKipper", which was supposedly the incorrect alias. This has been properly corrected to "FakeKipper"
  • Lazarus' dialogue was changed. This is likely due to inconsistencies in the story?
  • Decreased the size of all pickups: 500 > 300 (this appears to help readability)
  • Lazarus' dialogue can no longer be advanced by clicking, now requiring that you use [space]. Handman's dialogue can also now optionally be advanced with [space]
  • Rare chests are now purple instead of red, to make it easier to discern them from trapped chests
  • Very very slight modification to how velocity damage works
  • One new card (postgame only)
  • Made super small changes to the font to make it easier to read


Buffs/Debuffs:

  • + Frost deals +1 ice damage
  • + Frost's change in bolt velocity changed: -12 > -5 m/s
  • + Lazarus drops more hearts
  • + Match card cost reduced: $500 > $150
  • + Boulder card cost reduced: $150 > $50
  • + Lazarus now has 2x weakness to collateral damage
  • - Shock's change in bolt velocity changed: +30 > +20
  • - Elemental burst decreases fire damage by 1 instead of increasing it by 1
  • ? Jump boots' jump velocity changed: 12 > 11
  • - Lazarus drops less mana stars but they're worth 25 mana instead of 10
  • - Hard capped Snoo's Mana at 250


Bugs Fixed:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the other endings from being accessible
  • Fixed an issue that improperly stopped the DLC's from being able to be unlocked (note: the NPC[who doesn't seem to be named right now] at the beginning claims that the DLCs are inaccessible but we're getting them just fine)
  • Enemies should no longer a s c e n d (at least, as much as they used to)
  • Made optimizations to help lag
  • Beating the first boss actually unlocks new cards. Before, these cards were simply unlocked by default
